Dear Susan – Thank you so much for your presentation.  It was such a pleasure to meet you and I have to say that your tips had immediate impact.  Last month’s “day” of cleaning got me through some of my desktop files and half of a desk drawer because I was poring over every document for ideas, thoughts, strategies, etc.  I ended up only having about two hours of usable cleaning time on Friday and in half the time went through three times as many files. It was wonderful.

I also can share that I came into my office on Monday feeling very different about the way I thought not only about my space but my time.  It was very interesting and amazing for an hour’s worth of conversation.

I was the one who had approached you after your workshop to thank you for providing such valuable tips (both with lists and with home organization.)  You are truly an inspiration!  I am sure you hear that often, but I wanted you to know that you have had a very positive impact on my sense of organization, especially at home.  That’s where I felt completely out of control. After your talk about lists, I went out and purchased a dry-erase board for my kitchen and my bedroom (pens and paper on my nightstand wouldn’t last a day with my kids around).  It’s wonderful to be able to jot down ideas immediately.  And what you said about giving your children a life-skill (the ability to be organized) really hit home with me.

Thank you so much for your helpful hints at the seminar you gave to Vanguard crewmembers.  I took the advantage that following weekend (as it was a three day holiday for me) to begin to purge using your steps with the baskets.  My husband joined in and we were able to collect items to fit in 40 kitchen sized trash bags to give to Purple Heart! We still have a way to go, but we are on the right track!

One thing that I really took to heart was that everything has its own place. I continually forget where my work id is, but now it goes in the same place in my briefcase, so I am not wasting time looking for it each day!
